We started Mesita because finding a place, booking a table and getting a fair deal is still scattered across maps, social media, phone calls and messaging apps. Mesita brings those steps together in one place, so a guest can go from deciding where to go to sitting at the table with as little effort as possible.For guests, Mesita is a free app and website for discovering places to eat and drink, available at https://consumer.mesita.ai. Every listing brings together photos, location, opening hours, reviews, menus and contact details, so guests can decide with confidence. Guests can search by name, browse a map, explore by mood or neighborhood, save favorite places and request a reservation. At participating restaurants, guests can also earn rewards that lower their bill, including a reward for sharing a public Instagram Story about their visit. We connect to a guest’s Instagram account only with their permission, and only to verify their account and the story they shared for that reward. We do not post on a guest’s behalf, and we do not sell their data.For restaurants, Mesita is a console at https://business.mesita.ai where they manage their online presence and their business in one place. A restaurant can claim its profile, keep its information up to date, publish a digital menu, get a simple website, and receive online orders and reservations from its guests. Restaurants take card payments through their own Stripe account, so the money goes directly to the restaurant and we never hold their funds. Restaurants decide which features to turn on, which rewards to offer, and how much they want to give.We are launching in Monterrey, Mexico, and our goal is to make Mesita the easiest way for people to discover and enjoy their city’s restaurants, and the simplest way for restaurants to fill their tables.
